A New Dynamic
In these times of accelerated change, organizations must become as nimble and adaptable as they once were stable. In fact, the traditional concept of stability is probably long gone in this global community in which we now live. We are intricately connected financially, technologically, even emotionally, each touched by the upheavals that may occur, whether in our back yard or across the globe. We are no longer encased comfortably in our own cultures, but touched daily by the rest of the world. Businesses therefore must survive in this interdependent, highly volatile, energetic, transformative, spontaneous, innovative new world. In order to do so, they require a new level of response time, creativity, flexibility and courage.
In fact, things are moving so fast, it is no longer enough to respond to changes in the surrounding market, society, world…it is not longer enough to try and anticipate trends. In order to survive, and thrive, in the new age of speed, we must all become skilled at the art of reinventing ourselves. For organizations, this means learning to learn. It means becoming adaptable and having the tools to move quickly and with great agility. It means business strategy in motion.
